Our mission is plain and simple: as a trusted technology partner, using best-of-breed mainstream open standards and open source offerings, we make sure that today’s and tomorrow’s technology – no matter how fast it moves – becomes an opportunity for your business, not a challenge.

We specialize in the creation of Service-Oriented Architectures to optimize your legacy and future technology landscape, a must have before considering your move to the Cloud.

Think Java. Think Red Hat JBoss Fuse. Think iText. Think Cloud. Even think Smalltalk.

We believe in keeping it simple, not simplistic.
We believe small is beautiful.
But in all our modesty, we also believe in greatness.
To be mighty small.

We have zest, every second of every hour of every day.
We are driven by purpose, not just profit.
We strive for relationships, not just transactions.

We tell the truth.
We keep our promises.
We accept responsibility for our actions.
We are committed to doing what’s right, without exception.

We treat others with compassion and forgiveness.
We do not tolerate abusive or disrespectful conduct.
Ruthlessness, callousness, and arrogance have no place with us.

We are capable of many things.
However we do not aim to be everything to everyone.
We believe in focus.

We take pride in our history and achievements,
in who we are, in what we aspire to be, and
in the way we conduct business.

We are Roots.

Our co-creative approach must be mutually beneficial and based on honest and professional commitment to integrity, excellence, and fair compensation: when your business grows, ours will grow with you.

Our agile style will show you in no time that we do what we say and say what we do: we will enlighten you through conversations and proofs-of-concepts.

We listen and respond: straight, candid and direct.

Inspired by the Agile Manifesto, we continuously verify that results evolve in the right direction.

We dare to practice responsible risk taking and we learn from our mistakes.

We organize around trust, respect, and delegation instead of command and control.

We operate with a minimum of bureaucracy and a never-ending focus on productivity.

We stand by you.

The era of vendor-locked, monolithic systems has long passed, yet companies are still struggling with – and suffering from – the harsh consequences. Simultaneously, the complexity of today’s application landscape (BYOD, Internet of Things, Big Data, …) tends to reach unmanageable levels.

Both considerations present major challenges to organizations, not in the least the need to deal with the integration of systems, platforms and applications in order to cope with velocity, variety, veracity and huge volumes of data.

We go for ‘best fit solutions’ (the best solution for a specific customer, with a specific problem).

We use, whenever possible, mainstream open source / open standards offerings.

The customer always gets a copy of all the source code needed to compile a working application (ownership/copyright is negotiable).

What you get is what you pay’ (the customer only pays for effectively delivered goods/services).

We always work, full lifecycle, with a small but strong and integrated team (architecture, analysis , development, testing, project management, support).

We make durable software, because the cost of software doesn’t stop at delivery. Durable software doesn’t need to be rewritten every few years, because it is adaptable to change. Although durable software is more expensive to make, it is inexpensive to maintain for many years, resulting in less overall cost.

We are supportive of co-creation, a method to boost synergy, making sure, together, we create something beyond the sum of our parts.

  • Agile Application Development

We rely on the Agile principles and values, but adjust to customer-specifics, to create taylor-made applications. We use Java as our preferred language, but we also have Smalltalk expertise.

  • Business Requirements & Process Analysis

Requirements Gathering (business/functional) is the foundation of every project endeavour. We focus on the why, the what and the how of the project. We look at existing processes, try to optimise them, and use them to extract use cases.

  • Proof Of Concepts

Seeing is believing, and that’s what a POC can accomplish. It also helps us to demonstrate our skills.

  • Support

We not only do fixed project work, we can also organise the support and maintenance after the project has been delivered, based on a taylor-made SLA.

  • SOA Integration

We have a clear idea of what a Service-Oriented Architecture should be, and we use Redhat technology (JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and JBoss Fuse) to deliver.

  • Testing

Testing is a prerequisite for the delivery of quality results. Testing is fully integrated in our project approach, from start to finish. If you just want advice, we can also bring it to you.

  • PDF Document Management

Professional Services for iText, a programmable PDF software, to create products and projects with PDF functionality.

  • Hosting

If you don’t want the in-house complexity of an IT infrastructure, we can host it for you.

Red Hat, Inc. is an American multinational software company providing open-source software products to the enterprise community, and that has become associated to a large extent with its enterprise operating system Red Hat Enterprise Linux and with the acquisition of open-source enterprise middleware vendor JBoss. Red Hat also offers Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV), an enterprise virtualization product.

iText delivers an open source library for creating and manipulating PDF files in Java; iText provides support for most advanced PDF features such as PKI-based signatures, 40-bit and 128-bit encryption, color correction, Tagged PDF, PDF forms (AcroForms), PDF/X, color management via ICC profiles and barcodes, and is used by several products and services, including Eclipse BIRT, Jasper Reports, Red Hat JBoss Seam, Windward Reports, and pdftk.
